I have always had healthy hair, but now since the beginning of the year i have started eating differently, cut out all junk foods, only to have my hair getting dry and falling out, what gives. what can i be lacking in my new way of eating?

I've never had problems with dry hair before. A few months ago, my hair suddenly began to feel like straw. A nutrionist suggested I add some oil/fat into my daily diet-one tablespoon of regular (not fat free) salad dressing or mayonaisse each day. I was skeptical, but I tried it. A few days later, my hair began to show signs of improvement and now it is back to normal.

Also, make sure you're getting enough protein in your diet; when I began eating more protein each day, I noticed less hair loss.

Hi,
I'm sorry to hear about your hair problems. I've learned that taking the natural supplement of "biotin" is very good for the hair and nails. I've taken it and it helps everything feel strong. Sharon's advice for adding oil into the diet sounds like a great one too.

i was going to suggest to add the nutritional supplement fish oil to your diet. It helps out a lot especially when I changed my diet. Also eating a fattier fish like salmon in your diet will help. And most definately do not skimp on the protein

a little tip with the fish oil capsules... put them in the freezer and you won't get a "fishy" burp ;0)

High fiber, lots of fruits n veggies i no longer eat cake n cookies or any bad foods, lots of beans,n grains,
