This seems to be a high antioxidant tea, no caffeine. Apparently rooibos is only grown in one area of South Africa?

Jeanne - you should do an article on rooibos!

I thought I didn't like this tea the first time I had it, but I actually am not minding it this time. It's generally very mild with a hint of mango (go figure).

I can do an article. I've had this tea before - rooibos tea. I don't care for it - it has an after taste I didn't like. One advantage to the tea is that it is caffeine free - so if the after taste don't bother you (and I do have a sensitive palette) - then this is a good decaf option.

Lisa,

Are you refering to the Celestial Seasonings tea? I have tried it and like you, I noticed that the flavors are mild. The fruit flavors seem almost creamy. When I first bought the tea, the flavor reminded me of orange creamsicles.

I love rooibos tea. It's kind of fruity tho for some, I guess. You can get it mixed with other flavors.

Andrew Weil says on his site that rooibos doesn't have as many antioxidants as green tea but is a good one, none the less. I often mix it with other teas in iced tea.

Stash has some nice rooibos teas.

Ok, the rooibos tea I bought was loose tea directly from Africa. I bet the rooibos tea you can get in the grocery stores is a little more "processed" to our tastes smile

I buy my loose teas from CulinaryTeas.com. They give you free shipping on orders over $75 and they have weekly specials, too.

In general, I do like Stash teas... smile

Yes I think this was a Celestial Seasons one. I thought it had a tangy taste the first time that I had it - a taste I didn't like. But then this last time I tried it again, I did like it. I wonder if my tongue has gotten used to tastes after being traumatized by that Tazo Passion tea wink

Do you drink your Rooibos with sugar or do you drink it plain?

I'm drinking it plain - I'm having 2-3 glasses a day and it's a nice mild flavor. Or maybe I've just gotten used to its flavor. I don't intend to buy more once I use these up but it isn't bad to drink them ...

Hi. It's great to read about your opinions on Rooibos tea. I love Rooibos tea ever since I moved to South Africa. I didn't know it at first but as I started drinking it, I got hooked. And you don't get tired of the taste, which I personally do with other teas.
