I wonder if I should ask if people like Joan Crawford or Bette Davis the best?

I have always wanted to look like Joan Crawford, but have Bette Davis' roles. Bette, of course, acted longer and I liked some of her latest ones.....Watcher in the Woods is a favorite.

My all time favorite classic movie is: Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? It is too bad they couldn't make Hush Hush Sweet Charlotte together!!

I also liked Joan in Goodbye My Fancy, Mildred Pierce, The Best of Everything..........and The Women!!!

Bette was great in Jezebel, Watcher in the Woods, Burnt Offerings, All About Eve, and Dead Ringer. I wish she had lived to finish Wicked Stepmother.

What are your favorites? Or - do you have other classic actresses or actors that you liked?

I am a huge fan of both! They both were powerful women on screen and I love that.

Besides being Easter - today - March 23 is Joan Crawford's birthday. April 5th will be Bette's. They were both Aries.

Just out of curiosity do you know the year they were born?

Most reports list the year as 1908 and some say different years - 1904, 1905, ....of the two, Bette Davis' birth year usually remains constant as 1908.

www.nndb.com lists Joan as being born in 1905 and Bette as being born in 1908.

Wikipedia lists Joan as being born in 1904.

Joan Crawford originally was in HHSC but part way through filming became to ill to continue.
