Actual bell bottoms or flaired-legged (boot cut) pants. Interesting, there is a different. wink

I have three pairs of light sweats that I call "yoga pants" - they are a very light fabric, but soft like sweatpants, that have a flared out bottom. On one hand I like them because they're light and loose and the open bottom means it's easy to get them on and off. But on the other hand I really do trip on the bottoms sometime! That really is annoying. So I'd like ones with less wide bottoms on them. They don't even seem that wide normally, I'm not really sure how I end up tripping on them.

I used to have some that the bottoms were so wide that the legs would catch on each other. The material would somehow act like velcro. Those would trip me up sometimes.

I think they'll probably go in and out of style, but they'll never be as "big" as they were originally -- either in terms of popularity or width. smile

You keep tripping somehow? Now, Lisa, come on - did you have some of those pretty layered Irish drinks?

"The way to walk in 'bell bottoms' is slowly and sensually, swinging the hips a little and stopping every few steps to let the pant legs settle and to give others an opportunity to gaze upon your fashion expertise." is what my sister used to tell me.

I don't know - I just always clumped along in my sandals or barefoot, hoping I would not trip and fall flat on my face!

Well, I certainly never walked like that either, Rosie. That was my younger sister's quote. I don't think she did either, she was just clowning around.

I never go outside barefoot anymore, but do in the house. I was just so natural when I was younger to go barefootin'.

Back in the day, I wore Bells that were so long that they dragged the ground..they would actually get frayed..I loved them..But those were in the days of the hippies..I also had long straight hair parted down the middle hanging down to my butt..
My grand kids would get a big laugh if I dressed like that today..lol..!!I think I'll just keep all that a memory..!!
laugh..!! Oh also, I got married in my bare feet..!! (I was a "Earth Momma" back then)..geeze..!!
