Thank you for the article on Women Artists from Colorado. The painters Briggle and Magafan (mentioned in the article) remind me of the male artist Thomas Hart Benton who was born in Missouri and was greatly influenced by El Greco.

I can see a similar thread in their styles which makes them stand out as having the flavor of the West.

Have you seen any of Carol Griggs paintings? She is a Native American artist who portrays women beautifully. I love her style.

Mary Cassat is another one of my favorites. She usually painted mothers and children.
