Hi Everyone,

Has anyone ever experienced ear pulsings and/or whooshings due to allergies? And if you did, what did you do that helped?

I've mainly had itchy ears but a few times I've had ear pulsing. I seldom have either symptom now. I went to a naturopath who suggested there might be certain foods or food additives that were contributing to an allergen overload in my body and producing a variety of symptoms, along with the usual itchy, watery eyes and runny nose/congestion. I went on an elimination diet and discovered wheat and a few other foods were causing me a problem. After I eliminated those foods, a lot of symptoms disappeared, including the itchy ears.

Aw... very interesting. I definately need to try a rotation diet. One of my girlfriends has an allergy to black pepper. When she eats even a tiny bit, her ears feel like she's under water. And the symptoms persist for a couple of hours. That's when I first learned that food allergies could irritate the ear.
