Since we are starting a new season it is time to check all golf equipment including your golf cart. If you own and operate your own golf cart it is very important to keep it in good working condition. smirk

I wrote an article recently that was found in the Golf Digest on Golf Cart Safety. It is important to keep your cart in good running order but also learn to be a safe driver and abide by all the rules of your golf club. smile

Check out my recent article below:

I had to laugh about the blind man driving the golf course!! It's scary what will happen!

We are in Massachusetts so it's too cold up here to drive golf courses around as a standard vehicle smile It must be fun down in Florida where the weather is nice all year 'round, to do that!

I bet it saves on gas mileage too!

Golf carts are the most popular transportation on Catalina Island, CA. In fact, you have to get permission to buy an automobile and apparently there is a long waiting list. (The island is small and it would be really crowded if everyone had multiple vehicles.)

My husband and I were there last summer and a guide offered to pick us up and transport us to our restaurant one evening. We were all dressed up (hubbie in suit and tie and me in nice dress and heels) and the guide shows up in a golf cart. We felt a little overdressed to be riding around in the back of a golf cart! It was funny.

Just a little update on my golf cart. I was heading to the club when something fell off my cart. It was the head lamp of all things. I then discovered a crack in the mounting and the fender showed it had hit something. eek

The only thing I could figure out is that when my two big 30 year old grandsons were visiting and they used the cart to play golf. grin I think they pulled into my golf cart garage and hit the side of the door. I won't say anything about it as it took a month for that head light to fall out. I am sure they did not realize that they caused that damage. wink
