I bought a bottle of perfume (Dior Addict) a while back. I really liked it, but the first time I wore it happened to also be the first day I was attacked by a particularly virulent strain of the flu. Needless to say, this perfume now immediately makes me think of being very ill, and I can no longer wear it.

It's still a great perfume though, and the bottle is basically full (I only wore it that one time). I've tried to "sell" it (for way less than what I paid for it) on Craigslist, but no one seemed interested. Do you have any other ideas? (Should I just try giving it away to a friend at this point?)

I usually offer it to a friend. I've also given some away on freecycle BellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code. If you don't know how to do UBB code just post here for help - we will help out!

Good idea! I just joined my local freecycle e-mail group and posted a message -- hopefully someone will want this perfume...

I love freecycle. There always seems to be someone else who wants what you want to get rid of. If you don't get rid of it this week try posting it again next week. It might have just been missed.

You could try donating leftover perfume to a domestic violence shelter.

That's a lovely idea! Those women often see so little beauty in their lives.

Something else - you could try making sachets, and give them away as gifts for birthdays, showers, Christmas, etc.
