I posted this info in another forum when someone mentioned fave snacks so I thought it would be useful here in case there are people here that do not know about thses low fat snack ideas.

Here is a cake recipe that is lowfat and if any of you are familiar with the Weight Watchers point system, the whole entire cake is 35 points.

I got the recipe from my sister who used to belong to weight watchers.

One box of cake mix and one can of diet soda. It is all you need. I tried it and it works. No eggs or milk needed. Pour the mix into a bowl, pour the diet soda into the bowl stir it good, pour it into a pan and bake it according to the time and temp on the box.

It is better to use a clear diet soda like Sprite or 7UP with a white or yellow cake mix and a diet Pepsi or diet Coke with a chocolate or other dark cake.

However, I did try a yellow cake mix with a diet Pepsi because it is all we had at the time and I really wanted to try it. It worked and tasted like an applesauce cake. It was delicious and super moist too. I didn't even frost it and it was good.

Try it.

Want an ice cream sandwich? Spread Cool Whip between two Graham Crackers, wrap it in Saran or plastic wrap and freeze over night.

Want something sweet to munch on like hard candy? Throw some grapes in a bowl and put them in the freezer overight as well.

I have tried it all and they are delicious.

Vance, thanks for sharing these! I can't wait to try the cake and soda recipe. It makes me wonder how someone thought to try this combination. Maybe it was a college student and all they had on hand was a box of cake mix and a soda. :-)

I am always on the look-out for easy, quick recipes. Thanks again!

I'm gonna try that graham cracker/cool whip one. That sounds tasty.

I've read that about eating grapes, Vance. I try to keep the kids from eating too much sugar and grapes seems to satisfy them.

Wow, I like the cake recipe idea. I'll have to try that one. You could also try some fat free pudding between the graham crackers. I think that would be good too.
