I have noticed that there are certain foods that make me feel blah... (Chips... deep fried things). But how about foods that inspire?
Do you have a favorite recipe or food that leaves you feeling so vibrant and energized, that you feel completely unstoppable???

Oatmeal... LOL. And there's a stovetop barley dish that I really love. The scent of it cooking always inspires me. You can try the recipe if you like. We just had it the other night which is probably why I thought of it. Also any food prepared my anyone else is inspiring. I love going over to other people's homes and see what they serve and usually experience something new.

OOoohh... that recipe looks yummy. I recently had some saffron rice - and it was delicious! And my yoga teacher says it's super healthy Wooo Hoooo! I also love to eat at other people's homes. I have a girlfriend who makes such interesting meals! It's so fun to go over there!

Saffron rice sounds delicious. It must look lovely too. My sister-in-law really puts me to shame. She made this amazingly tender chicken breast the last time I was there using sundried tomatoes and home made tomato sauce. I swear it was the best chicken I ever had.

A great big salad inspires me. I put everything in it from sunflower seeds to different veggies, a boiled egg, whatever's around that's healthy.
Top it off with olive oil and red wine vinegar and a little seasoning. Yum! I feel better all day.

Ooooooh Moe, the chicken sounds delicious!
Skyhaven, I haven't had eggplant in years! I don't know how to prepare it, but the one time I had it and it was so great, it was done up like lasagna! WOW was it good!
Joanj, I agree, a great salad any time is most inspiring! I love to put dried cranberries or raisins on mine.... mmmmm.....

A big bowl of fruit salad. It reminds me of freshness and goodness.

That's one of the things I love about summertime, Chloe, the fresh fruit salads! With a few raw almonds thrown in for good measure (and marshmallows if my kids have their way LOL).

A fresh green salad with Parmesan sprinkled on it and Italian dressing, along with garlic bread. Homemade soup always inspires me, too.

Oh Yum! I made homemade chicken soup with celery, carrots and kale in it. It was so yummy... and I'd sprinkle on a teeny bit of parmeson cheese --- very tasty! And it makes my insides feel good - and when my insides feel good - so does the outside

The smell of my favorite food or even food I do not like (like coffee ~ i do not drink any but i love the smell) can inspire me but the food per say I would not say any does do that to me. Maybe the yolks do because I really love seeing that yellow drip all over my plate when I touch it with a fork.
