Hello, I'm the new Romance Movies editor. To start the ball rolling again in this forum, I'll begin with a new question/topic... an easy one smile What was the last romantic movie you saw? This can be a movie you saw on tv, on dvd, or at the movie theatre. You can pick one option or all three.

The last theatre movie I saw was "Elizabeth: The Golden Age".
The last dvd movie was "Casablanca".

Your turn!

Ohhhh, I so want to see The Golden Age. I loved the first one.

The latest romantic movie I watched was Recovery with David Tennant and Sarah Parish. They were both amazing. It's the story of a building engineer who gets run over by a truck and ends up in a coma. The story is about the kind of person he was before the accident, the kind of man he is after he awakes from the coma and the effect it has on his life, marriage and children. I thought it was brilliant.

I just watched Nora Roberts "Blue Smoke" on DVD last night. It was pretty good. It's about a girl who is a fire investigative detective and a crazed fire bug kept killing her boyfriends-until the last one, of course.

I just watched the Illusionist and loved the way the film was made as well as the story. Then I rented The Painted Veil and can't wait for the babies to nap so I can watch it.

Thanks for your responses, ladies. I am going to see if I can find the movies you are referring to in your emails. "The Painted Veil" and "The Illusionist" I know of.

Moe, I did a review of "Elizabeth: The Golden Age". I was less impressed with it than I was with the original.

I recently did a review of "Nina's Heavenly Delights". Nina was Indian and the woman she falls for is a white Brit. So there's this whole double taboo thing going on. It was a dramedy and a nice little one. It should be out in theatres now, probably a limited release and in the "arty theatres" I'm guessing. The only "star" I recognized was the female blacksmith from that anachronistic Heath Ledger flick about a poor apprentice who fakes being a titled knight. Title escapes me now.

Watched "Catch and Release" late last night while keeping a watch on the weather. The story brings to mind how close we can be to our loved ones while not knowing everything there is to know and may trigger paranoia as well as unsettling your emotions.

I just watched You've Got Mail for the millionth time on DVD. I love that movie..... smile I'm a Tom Hanks girl. The last movie I watched in the theater was Juno, which wasn't technically a romance, but the relationship between the two teenagers was very sweet.
