Are there any blues fans in here? There aren't to many women in the field, but I just heard about the new Joan Armatrading album that is coming out....Anyone familiar with her?

Hi. I'm a blues fan from way back. No, I've never heard of her. I love Bonnie Raitt, Marva Wright, Susan Tedeschi (sp), Etta James (wow), Debbie Davies. I guess I like the women blues singers more than the men. I guess I relate more being of like mind. Recently moved back where I grew up in MS from Houston. You could listen to live blues everywhere there and here there is nothing. I miss it more than I can say! I'll try Joan out. Thanks.

Have you heard Joss Stone? LOVE her voice. Smoky blues for one so young. I'm eclectic in my music but much prefer the blues. Brooks & Dunn when I feel like toe tapping, Diana Krall and Nora Jones when I'm feeling laid back, Neville Bros (duet with Linda Ronstadt), just because, and of course the timeless Otis Redding when I'm down and out. Separated from my hubby so I listen to him alot lately!
