I do have lots of mini-notebooks everywhere - that is wonderfully helpful for writing things down on!

Now that I blog, I rarely use a paper journal anymore. Well, for traditional journaling. I buy cool looking notebooks all the time and use them for different things: there is one in my totebag all the time where I write websites I want to check out, books to read, etc. I have one where I keep quotes that I love, but I'm even moving towards doing that online. It's something how quickly I've come to prefer the computer.

Since I've been keeping journals for years, friends and family have taken to giving me fancy leather journals for holidays.

I definitely blog a TON online, I put my entire life online. But even so, there are certain things I do NOT want online and need them somewhere private. Which is funny coming from the woman who put pictures of her poison ivy rash online smile

I carry my organizer and paper with me and write notes to myself all the time; however, my journaling is in a Word document I fondly called dear diary! I have about 150 pages - I especially did a lot of journaling when my mother was so ill. But I write just a few lines each day.

I'm sorry about your mom, Angie, I am sure the journaling helped you out a lot! It is very cute that you called the document Dear Diary smile

I found that pretty journals sit on the shelf blank for a long time. I procrastinate writing in them thinking that I have to write something 'worthy' of the book. I like plain old spiral bound sheets of paper or notebooks.

I had to force myself to break myself of that habit long ago, with wine. People save up fancy wines until a "special day" and by the time they drink it it has gone bad. I have learned to enjoy each day and to drink the nice wine and read the nice books smile It's definitely a good hurdle to learn how to leap!
