Well I'm back at 137 so maybe this "muscle" (hah) is finally starting to do its job and burn off fat while I sleep. That has always been my mental image, that by creating some muscle it will turn into a calorie-eating powerhouse that nibbles up fat cells while I sleep smile

That's so great on you getting slimmer! Do you have a string anywhere in the house, to measure your waist and hips and see how you are doing?

That's so awesome on the 127 pounds. Good for you!!!

You are doing so great with your exercise, that is really inspiring!!

Thanks Lolly and Lisa. Lolly, I LOVE your little inspirational tagline. I am going to have to use that one in conversation.

Okay, I will go get my tape measure. Am afraid....let's see....

Okay, with some trepidation I grabbed my trusty Ikea tape measure (you know, the ones they give you for free when you shop there).

And I pulled out my fitness diary from when i looked good, for comparison.

Here are the results from today:

Chest - 38
Waist - 31
Hips - 36
Thighs - 21.5

Now, to compare to when I kept my fitness log and looked good, just before i moved to Seattle and got depressed. So this was Feb 21, 2006 (about two years ago):

Chest - 34
Waist - 28
Hips - 34
Thighs - 19.5

With a weight of 119 pounds and a size 2.

I refuse to feel sad about this. If I measured myself about a month or two ago I bet it would have been much worse.

It's great that we are doing this challenge! It's so nice to be held accountable and have a group to share things with. <3

Jill - you have a bigger chest!! How can you feel badly about a bigger chest!! smile

The ideal measurements for Marilyn Monroe was a 36 chest and a 36 hips. So you were toooo skinny before!! You are far more ideal now smile

I *just* got in my new measure device in today. So I'll play with it soon and post the details.

I think your measurements are fine as is, but you are not that far from two years ago. You are doing great. I forgot to report my weight for this week. I have lost another pound, slow;y but surely it is coming off. We leave for vacation on Saturday. I worry what that will do, but that's life right? We go on vacations, have holidays and other celebrations, can't get away from them! I hope I can show some restraint though. :-)

That is great on the pound, Lollie, yes the weight went on slowly so it's good to take it off slowly! Plus forward progress is always better than being stuck smile

Don't think about the vacation as being restrained - think of it as your chance to splurge on lobster and filet mignon and asparagus and other exotic treats! All of those are quite good for you!

That's true, Lollie, use it as an excuse to have some real luxuries like LIsa says!

Thanks guys on the kind words on the measurements. Truth is, I like it when i have a lean tomboy look. Being curvy on top just makes me look heavy no matter what I wear. I am thinking of buying some minimizer bras.

Yes I agree that we all have different body shapes that we are aiming for and what one person thinks is great, another person thinks is not great. I know that several people here wish they could be your shape or my shape the way we are and I don't mean to minimize their goals either smile We all have different ideals which is a good thing!

OK you were brave and posted your numbers, so I will post mine. I am always shy about this because I wish I was curvier. I wish I could be like you and want a lean shape. Maybe I will work on that.

breast - 35.5"
waist - 27"
hips (across the hip bone area, not across the "widest part of my bottom") - 37"
bottom - 39"
thigh (widest part of my thigh) - 21.5"
bicep ("making a muscle") - 10.75"
