Has anyone heard of any success stories of women who have had their tubes burnt and tied and then years later having it reversed and having more children. I know that it is usually a case by case basis but I'd like to know if anyone knows anyone that has had any luck with it.

Hi, I just saw your post, sorry its a bit late to answer! I had a tubal ligation in 1997, my tubes were cauterised and then clipped. In 2003, I had them repaired successfully. Despite being 39,l became pregnant almost immediately, this ended in an ectopic pregnancy. As soon as we were cleared to try again, I became pregnant again and gave birth in 2004. I have been pregnant three more times since, but miscarried - more due to my age (44) than any failing of the op though. A lot depends on the skill of the original surgeon doing the ligation - if he did a hack job on you, there can be very little to reattach. Also, you need a very skilled and experienced surgeon doing the repair.

Thank you for that information. I was wondering. I had the same thing done years ago back in 1994. I just wondered that if I ever got remarried and wanted more kids if it was possible or not. I have read most articles on it that say it's a very expensive surgery and not promising.

I had Tubal Ligation in 07' and I think I regret having the surgery because i might now have Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome.
