Anti gay extremists are still looking for ways to put us back on the defensive. In fact, just last week it was revealed that presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has advocated for isolating Aids Patients. HRC coordinated an immediate response, offering to help arrange a meeting with Huckabee and the mother of Ryan White who died of aids. Even Rudy Giuliani's views seem to be devolving, with his statement that homosexual "acts" are sinful. We need to elect a president who will say Yes to fairness and equality for all Americans. We also need to fight for the legal protection that are the cornerstone of equal rights, we've elected pro-equality leadership in Congress that has helped pave the way for civil rights history with the white house passage of the employment non discrimination act, and led and won the fight for hate crimes legislation in both houses of congressWe must increase the number of pro-equality law makers in the house of senate. You and I owe it to those violently attacked, even killed because of who they are, sons,daughters,husbands and mothers-not to rest until the hate crimes bill is signed into law We owe it to the millions of GLBT Americans afraid of losing their jobs not to rest until employment protections are universal.
