I cant figur it out,When i click on a chocobo in the calm it just squeaks at me?How do i get one?

There is a woman on a chocobo whom flits around a bit (but when you see her she'll be stood in one place!!!
she's first on the north western border just up from where you get one of the primers
when I got the airship she'd moved to just below the save spot
after a brief spot in the arena she'd moved to on the ridge in the south(where you first enter the calm land)

Is she the chik that says to follow her to go back to bevelle. And then something like, shes smart cuz she avoids fiends on chocobos? after she says shes smart and im dumb, she just keeps repeating herself, what after that? or is this the wrong chik?
