You always hear people telling you NOT to take time off of college because it is always hard to go back. However, my situation is a little sticky and I am so confused as to what I should do. Here's the deal; I am a college student and I am up to my ears in credit card debt. I work a part-time job for minimum wage, but it doesn't pay the bills. Unfortunately, my bills keep getting heavier and heavier because I rely on plastic to help with the materials I need for my major (Architectural/Interior Design... VERY expensive!), gas, necessities, and of course other things. My parents don't help me with anything and I have only myself to rely on. I want to stay in school, but I fear that if I continue, I may eventually have to claim bankruptcy. I've spoken to a few of professors, and they have agreed to help me catch up with my class if I take the semester off. I just want to get myself back on my feet again, but education is very important to me. What should I do?

You'll be able to pay those bill off a bit better as an architect than as a minimum wage earner. maybe find a different job, one with tips or something. what about student loans vs the plastic? during summer break you can work three jobs and catch up, but don't quit, it is hard to go back. do you have anyone that can help you, grandparents, siblings, etc? if your story is compelling enough, oprah will even help (lol) ok, not funny. but stick with it, it will be worth it.
