I'd just like to ask if anyone else is an inactive LDS woman. I'd like to get back into activity but would like husband to go back with me and he doesn't seem to want to. Can anyone give me some suggestions to help us go back?

Hi,

I just want to say hello... I too am new here and was just checking around. Not seeing a lot going on as yet. Can I suggest you take a hop on over to ldsforums.com

That is such a great site for just the kind of support you are looking for:-) Everyone there is so helpful. Many have been through and are going through exactly what you describe in your post.

I know it seems a bit scary right now for you. But everyone at church will be very kind and hopefully your husband may decide to return eventually as well. No matter, you will feel lifted by doing what you know in your heart is the right thing for you to do.

I will watch for you over there. I post as gVr.

I am in your shoes. An inactive LDS woman with an inactive family. Long story.

But if you want to go back, it's very easy. Just go back. Where are your church records? Do you have a visiting and home teacher?

If not, go online to find the nearest church. Check out www.lds.org

Also you can call the local church to find out the meeting time. Believe me, if you return just once, they'll fellowship you back into the fold. Everyone will be very warm and welcoming.

That has been my experience. We're still considered inactive for different reasons. Still seeking. You may have to return without your husband for now.

Best wishes to you. I'm happy you have the faith and courage to do the right thing.

oops that was not suppose to go yet and ran to get my dog and accidently hit submit. Anyway I am new to LDS -3 weeks-I am studying and meeting with the Elders once a week. I plan on going to meeting next week. My husband is supportive of me but he won't go, I am not going to let that stop me and please don't let it stop you either. When they are ready I believe they will both go when the time is right for them. We can't push them because if we do then we will only turn them off.
