I know there are lots of "bad" people in the world who do seem to get what they want. Money attracts money, etc. It's kind of the same discussion as to "why does God let bad things happen" or why do people make money from pornography-that's obviously a "bad" thing.

I believe that part of consciously practicing the Law of Attraction is to use it for the betterment of ourselves and mankind. However, there are other ways to get what you want too-just by forging ahead and letting nothing stop you, regardless of who you hurt or what the bad effects might be. I do believe that in some way tho, people have to pay for doing things that way.

We can't affect how others do things but we do have control of how we do things and each person has to choose the path they want to take. For instance, if tycoons are making money ruining our planet, I believe that there are also good people out there using their skills and intellect to dream up "green" and eco-friendly solutions. They will at some point be making money too- but with a clear conscience.

So if someone wants to be a millionaire, obviously they can choose to do it in a way that either harms or benefits others. I just believe the path is clearer and more joyful for those who are also trying to benefit others as well as themselves.

I would think the path was more clear to the selfish.

In your journey, do you ever run in a brick wall? I find that when I am getting somewhere. Breaking new ground, so to speak. I get thrown out of 'Eden.' I am begining to wonder if it a growth thing. I wind up with my life taking a 180 twist, so that I can't even relate to the person that I was.

I just went through this type of experience, again. This time it lasted several months before I was able to reconnect, and think with the same view, that I had been.

PS. It says in the bible that we are all given the same, it is what we do with what we have that counts. I think the 'secret' is simply the life tools we are given, and that we tend to mangle them so badly that we forget about them, or how to operate.

Wayne Dyer "The Power Of Intention" contends that only our positive energy, can function after death. And that the highest level of positive energy is god. He says, if life is infinite, than this is not life. Dr. Hawkins, Power vs Force, research states, optimism from one persons energy, counters 90,000 negative people. And, there are 22 sages in the world who live and vibrate in peace and bliss. Their energy balances 10 million people who bring low and negative vibes into the world.

But, remember the tower of Babel. These people thought they had life's mysteries figured out. They had skills and knew how to use them. So, some say did the people of Atlantis.

Everybody runs into brick walls sometimes. I think that is the time to step back and regroup and begin again.

We can't keep doing the same thing we are doing, over and over. I think that is where the brick walls come from. Sometimes we have to head off in a new direction.

Thanks Stacy, sorry to ramble so far off track. I read a book recently called The Key by Joe Vitale, a 'Secret' contributor. He says that when your attractor doesn't work for you, it is because your conscious and subconscious aren't on the same page. Or, believe different things. And we need to clear out old possibly buried beliefs to be clear. (and attractive!)

Moms-so glad you're reading Wayne Dyer! He's terrific and one of my favorite authors.

It's hard to get rid of "old" stuff that we might not even know we're carrying around. One way I've done it is to focus on each present moment and not let past beliefs, feelings and ideas intrude. I read in one book that if you remember to focus on positive feelings in each present moment, you are creating those same feelings for the future.

I think many of us can focus on each present moment if we try. It's carrying the weight of the past around-or even the future-that is too much for us to handle. As Wayne Dyers often says, we can't change the past and the future isn't here yet, so this moment is all we really have.

He also says that ego causes a lot of our problems. I think that has been what I have been wrestling with. It hit me last night! It was a strange realization for me, as I try to live with humility. I thought I had grown past the point where ego could affect me like that. I guess not!

And, strange that you should bring it up, but the reasons have to do with past and future. I guess I have a live in the present, lesson to learn here.

Thank you so much for sticking with me. I guess you found me attractive, is some warped way!

Hi Moms, sorry I haven't been back here recently. WE had lots of company for Thanksgiving.

I definitely think the key to being happier in life is to live in the moment and ALWAYS look for the good to be found there. Two people can have the same thing happen to them but the positive person will try and find some good in it or an opportunity or lesson and the negative person will just think the Universe hates them or something and nothing good ever happens to them.

If you try and be positive and joyful in every present moment, you are creating more of that for the future.

I used to be a more negative person and that only attracts more negativity into your life. Since I;ve really been focusing on being happy in the moment, the burdens I was carrying around by worrying about the past and future disappeared. I also learned to forgive by realizing that each day is a new start and the past doesn't matter. My relationships with those I felt "wronged" me changed completely.

It's like a circle. I have been down this path a lot of times. Each time I have deeper more complicated learning, about present joy.

Last week we went to the Santa Claus parade. We waited for 20 minutes in the freezing cold till the parade started.

A couple with 2 children came along and stood beside us. They were there 5 minutes befor it started. We spoke, they were NICE.

The parade started. That family stepped right in front of us. My youngest couldn't see. That family got all the candy, my kids got none.

The wife didn't seem to care. THe husband, kept turning around, looking guilty. I couldn't keep kindness. I was hurt and angered.

I don't believe their act was intentional. I think it just happened. But, they didn't try to correct it.

Is it my fault I wouldn't be forgiving and say, oh well, no big thing. I don't think that was the answer. I think I needed to say, could you kindly GET OVER. But, that wasn't an option. The crowd squeezed in, there was no 'over.' My kids are too polite to muscle in.

Anyway, I have been doing a lot of Christmas kinship pondering.

Hello!

I am new to this board, but I have enjoyed reading about your journey's with The Secret.

I discovered the Secret and The Law of Attraction earlier this year. In my opinion, it is amazing! I work from home so I can be with my 2 daughters, and since I learned of the great secret, I have had so many wonderful women come into my life!

I do admit there are some times when I doubted the secret and implemtnting it into my personl life, but then I look back at myself and where I was in the begining of the year vs. where I am now, and I am astounded by the difference!

I hope that you will continue to utilize the tools you have at your finger tips and implementing this into your lives! Another auther I enjoy is Zig Zigler.

I look forward to hearing from you all on how your journey is progressing!
