Using a Neti Pot should make you feel better not worse. The first trick is to make sure the water is warm but not hot. Second, don't add more than 1/4 teaspoon of salt per pot full.

I've had one for more than a year now and can't live without one. It even helps alleviate the sinus headaches I get when pollen levels are high.

Fill the pot with warm water, add � teaspoon of salt and stir to dissolve. Stand over a sink and tilt your head to one side. Then insert the spout in one nostril and pour in the warm solution. Continue until the pot is empty. Blow your nose. Repeat with the other nostril.
