I accidentally broke my ceramic Neti pot that I had had for a year. Initially, I was kind of upset but then I went shopping for a new one. The one I bought is far superior because it's lighter and unbreakable because it's made of plastic instead of ceramic. I take my Neti pot along when I go on trips. This one I won't have to worry about breaking. It's made by the Himalayan Institute, Varcho Veda, and cost about $15. All in all, my accident lead me to discovering a much-improved product.

I just bought one, I have never used something like this but saw Oprah talk about it on an episode with Dr. Oz. Wal-mart had this one, it has a lid and is also made of plastic. My house has tile in the bathroom so I am glad to have a plastic one rather then ceramic. I will let you know how it works, I got it last night and haven't used it yet.

Some friends of mine swear by neti pots. I've been considering trying one, but I don't find stuff going up my nose to feel pleasant, so I've held out.

As it is now, I am congested all the time unless I use Flonase, thats an inhaled steriod and I hate using it for fear of the long term use of steriods.

From what I saw on Oprah, it doesn't feel bad when you do it right. I will let you know when I work up the courage to use it.
