Lisa, I don't understand your walkthrough on Crawler when it says "throw an Aeon in it's path" could you explain your little crawler paragraph please! it won't take long <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I'm not Lisa, but will try to help. She means that Crawler's beams do a lot of damage and are dangerous for you party. So, when you see him almost charged, summon an Aeon (any), he'll fight it and unleash the beams on Aeon, thus not making any harm to your trio. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Have fun. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Was it you who has been asking about Spheremorph, if so, how did it go?

well the minute after I posted (which was when I walked away from the battle to post) I beat it. This crawler is tough though! is it ok if he wipes out your aeons?

all you need to do is kid of use your aeons as bullit shields as as soon as your aeon reaches 0 it doesnt really die just goes away and then you must fight so many battle without him unless you find a save point near!!! then there instantly available once you click to save!

G-d! this is the fourth frickin' time I've battled crawler and he's tough! he should be SOOO easy!! how did you guys defeat him?

first-use wakka and kimahri's lancet to destroy the negator.

second-start chipping away at crawler with lightning elemental weapons.

when crawler gets close to mana beam then summon ixion. Attack with aerospark, and watch the ctb window closely. When it is time for the mana beam, use the aeon's shield ability and it will not kill the aeon. If Ixion's hp gets yellow then cast thundara on yourself and keep using aerospark or thundara on crawler. unleash ixions overdrive as often as possible, and you will eventually defeat it!

oh and if you get desperate kimahri's self-destruct overdrive does about 6,000 damage to it.

The attack that always gets me is when Crawler shoots repetativley ( I think it starts with G something) <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> I dunno what it's called but it only does it with the negator there.

you need to make sure you kill negator so that lulu can use magic. i also managed to kill him without him doing a single mana beam, just make sure you DON'T kill negator when he's about to use mana beam, and he disables his own magic. <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

It never uses Mana Beam when the negator is alive though. It always uses Gatling Gun. That's what kills me most of the time. <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Are you sure you're using the aeons properly, to their best effect?

First, before you go into the battle, make sure that all of your aeons are in overdrive mode - that they have the little orange bar all the way full up. That way when you summon them they can immediately do their most powerful attack. Also have Yuna at full overdrive, so that she can do a second summon on one of them (once they've done their own overdrive) and automatically kick them into overdrive again.

Aeons are never destroyed. They just go to 0 and become unsummoneable until the next time you hit a save sphere. So one of your best techniques is to fling aeon after aeon at a given monster to blast it with their uber-attack and also to absorb any really nasty attacks. Sort of a "shield" for your regular party.

So send your regular party to fight the boss, and then when you see in the little "order of combat" indicator in the top right that the boss is about to do something really nasty, have Yuna summon an aeon to do their one-massive-hit and then to take the damage the boss gives out. And if the damage kills the aeon, it's OK, the aeon has already served its purpose in that battle.
