Thanks, Kriss. You are so right. The issue many of us had, though, while in our disease was that we could not recognize the friendships and the people who loved us but enjoyed those who enabled us more. The wonderful part of recovery is that now when we hit a low point in our lives, we can act like "normal" people and call not only on new friends for help but those who stuck with us in our times of trouble knowing we will be there for them also.
