What is the differance in the reverse of the 1938 and 1940 nickels? I see coins advertised 1939 rev. of 38 or 40 and can't tell the differance.
Thanks

The only difference I know of is 1938 had wavy lines on steps of the building.not as clear as the straight lines of the 1940.
