What did you think of it? If you read the book, did you prefer the book to the film or the other way around? Did you think the casting was correct?

Personally, I thought the film was honest to the message of the book. Although, I would have liked to have seen Dominique and Howard's relationship develope more like it was in the book, I enjoyed seeing a somewhat renewed look at the relationship. I think everyone was who I pictured as the characters in the book. Especially, Robert Douglas who played Ellsworth Toohey. He was perfect. This film actually started my crush on Gary Cooper.

I both saw the film and read the book and I liked both. Ayn Rand's books have a great message but they are really wordy! Atlas Shrugged had one speech that seemed like it was hundreds of pages (can't remember exactly).

I like the basic message of her book tho, about forcing people to conform. My daughter is an architecture student and they've watched this film in class.

I tried to read Ayn Rand years ago but could not do it.
