Hi!

I am interested in all herbal topics, but at the moment am checking to see if there are any all "natural homemade" recipes for Halloween makeup. I have looked online, but came up with nothing that is really natural, the ones I found contained commercial food dyes and a lot of other things that were far from natural.

I am looking more for something that would involve the use of herbs or natural clays for the coloring. I'd like to post any info/recipes on my natural living blog with a link to your site/blog if anyone has recipes to share.

Thanks so much,
Pennie

Hi there! I write Native American articles and am always interested in finding new herbal remedies, crafts, seasonings. I rely on herbs a lot for aromatherapy, minor aches and pains, swellings, headaches, restful sleep, etc..........

I think it would be fun to learn to do more things with herbs. I did make a dream pillow with some mugwart and lavender. It smelled delicous, and really did inspire my dreamtime!

I would like to grow lavender, but tried once and it didn't go too well.

I agree, Deanna. I have a cloth eyemask that is stuffed with lavender. I keep it in the freezer so it is always cold when needed. The smell has started fading so I would love to know what to do to get the smell back (somehow freshen up the lavender or fill it with a new supply). I would also love to make some more to give to friends so it would be great to have instructions.

I grew some lavender in a container and it did wonderfully. I now need to move it to the ground but I hope I don't ruin it in the process.

Hi!

Rhonda, I have instructions on my blog for making a Lavender Eye Pillow, they are pretty quick to make.

I am so into herbs, especially the more unusual or uncommon ones. I love to cook with them, craft with them and grow them. I am also into herbal remedies.

I love Herbal Remedies. I voted for 'Mix It Up A Bit', because I like everything you listed. It is really interesting to learn about everything herbal for me.
