You are exactly where God wants you to be today.

As much as I know and believe that, I sometimes think maybe God has it wrong because I think I should be in a better place. I've worked hard yet there are days, weeks, when physically and mentally I feel trapped. So I have to pledge today to remember that I am not God and I have to have faith and remember that He does for me what I cannot do for myself. Are you where you want to be today? Comments?

When I was in treatment, there was a plaque in the bathroom that said "Faith is not knowing God Can. Faith is knowing God Will." FOr me, personally, after what I went through just to get to treatment (no other explanation than some sort of divine intervention), Faith is knowing God Can, Will and ALREADY HAS! It is ALL good, no matter what. Reflection on my own life proves it. Seeing the miracles in other womens lives while in treatment opened my eyes to looking at my own. While sometimes I don't 'see' the good (my brother's death last year still confounds me) I know in my heart that it's there.

God helps those who help themselves. Iam proof of that. I did not attend any treatment programs when I started my recovery 2 years ago. I could not even stand to go to a meeting because I had such a poor opinion of myself. My husband was my sponser, and I really did not want to see anyone but him. There had to be some sort of "divine intervention" for Me to leave everything and move to Illinois and literally start over. I have to frequently remind myself of why im here.
