Hello everyone!

I'm Valerie Shoopman, the new Special Education editor for BellaOnline. I see this forum hasn't been very active in the past, but I'm making it a personal mission of mine to get new threads started and help everyone feel comfortable posting in this forum. We all have something to share that can make someone else's life easier or more meaningful, so join in our discussions. I am looking forward to growing our Special Education family!

Valerie I comend you for reaching out to our Special Challenged.

Being the fact, my god mother was a teacher for Special children for many years. I hope all will support this forum whether they have any challenged loved ones or not. We all need stop and look at life by being grateful,thankful and we are blessed with those who are not challenged within our own family. However, the rest of us need to reach out and help those who aren't so lucky. Helping, reaching out, and just supporting this forum gives so much back to Special people and those helping! Spirtually and emotionally it makes us better human beings. Think about it. I cried because I had now shoes than I saw a man with no feet! Count your blessings and reach out to others. Thanks

Thank you for your comments. I love working with special needs children and helping them find ways to be successful in school and in life.

You are so right that we all need to take the time each day to find something to be thankful for. You can bet there is always someone somewhere in a worse situation. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in everything that's wrong, instead of looking at the good things and what is right in your life.
