I did not know that was in the secret, but i have done that, and not just with physical space, but mental and emotional space must be made too, to be willing to try new things, etc. and not be rigid. How else can you blend lives together?
One thing i noticed about my last boyfriend was that he did not really make space for me in his life, physically or emotionally. He had the tiniest of places and when i visited i had to keep my clothes on the floor of the living room. Emotionally he was the same... he would not try new foods i cooked, he crowed loudly that he would not change any opinions, he would not accept my friends as his own (instead he would say nasty things about them to me), and seemed unwilling to consider moving here though this is a big house. I tried to make it work, but it couldn't.
