I'm working on an article about all the wonderful music that gets written and performed for the soundtracks of sci-fi films. Especially, thinking about "Star Wars", "Star Trek", and "The 5th Element" - there is some really majestic music out there!

What are some movie soundtracks that you have enjoyed? (Ones that aren't done by rock bands that is.)

I love the music from the Harry Potter films!
Oops, that's more fantasy I guess.
Hmmmm . . . there is some nice music in the Fifth Element as well.

John Williams composed both the "Star Wars" films and the "Harry Potter" films - so I guess it makes sense that they are both wonderful! I'm probably going to do an article just on him, because he has really influenced "modern" classical music - it is unbelievable how many films he has composed for!

Fifth Element was quite good, dont ask how many times I have seen that movie. I still love BSG and Doctor Who. Those are the ones I am stuck on now. When the article is finished I would love a go to read it.

I'm fond of the soundtrack from "E.T." There's nothing quite like the climactic bike chase near the end of the movie.

I'll always be a fan of the "Star Trek: First Contact" soundtrack as well.
