I was just posting on the forums at
www.justsitting.net/theteahouse.htmI haven't been meditating for long, and this site provides some good resources that have helped me a lot.
There was a guy on there talking about taking refuge vows and trying to marry that up with his own practice which he felt was currently lacking.
I wasn't exactly sure what refuge vows were, but sympathised with him about sometimes findings it diffcult to meditate and then apply that practice to 'good living' day-to-day.
Does anyone have any thoughts on applying your practice at work, with friends, etc. What do you do when it doesn't work out?
And what are the refuge vows anyway?
