Those are both very good answers.
Church is usually about people and fellowship but if someone prefers to be left alone, that should be respected.

I look for a church that preaches and teaches beyond you have to get saved and tith... I also look for a church that resepects people for who and what they are and does not try to change them. I love music but it is not the most inportant thing about the church and I could care less about what the building looks like and if anything if it is huge and overly flashy I wont go in or I wont go back to me it is the people in the church that is important not what the church has to offer in the way of entertainment! I also look for a church that spends more of its money on helping those in the church with needs and those that are not in the church with needs. this speaks more to me about where the churches heart lies! I also look for a church where the people are friendly but not pushy. I thing church should be for a newcomer like walking into someones house. some one comes up and introduces them self or and there family and kinda takes you under there wing and shows you around and lets you meet people... this can be before church or after. I also like a church where the friends you make in the church talk to you when they see you outside of church. I also like a church that is liberal conservitave meaning that they are open to new thoughts but they still have a backbone...not to say that a liberal church doesnt but...I just like a happy middle.

I went to a catholic church in AZ (on accent because I didnt know that it was catholic until I got inside...) I was impressed that they went in to church ah Mass and no one really stood around and talked about the week or other people.... and I first thought ok this is odd no one talks to eachother! then the Priest came in and begain by saying Welcome everyone even if you are not catholic you are welcome in this place even if you are Pagan you are welcome here....and he ment it! I had met this priest by chances in front of a store in town and had made a off handed remark to somefriends and he laught and we became friends then later like a few weeks off meeting intown for a coke with my group of friends from the school we asked him were he worked and he said he was a Father somebody! So here was Father somebody preaching (is that the right word?) and I was impressed and if I had not been so lost in what was going on I might have converted.... I think that was the first church I had ever felt the Power of God move in and maybe the last! after the service the lady that sat beside me walked out behind me and after we got out side she said I am Glad you came today it is not offene we have a non catholic among us and one so young is even more rare! I could tell when you walked in that you had no idea where you were at but I am glad that you stayed anyways." she gave me her name and asked me mine and we shook hands and she wrote down her number and told be if I needed anything or just wanted to go out to lunch to call her. she didnt try top convence me to comeback or use scar tactics to convert me just a friendly lets do lunch. and we did!

I am not Catholic and I know very little about it but I think that was one of the best churchs I have been too.

oh and Father somebody, was married with 3 kids and a very pregent wife and 2 foster kids....yeah I didnt know they could marry either....

anyways that is what I look for in a church and why
