We ask ourselves so many questions without hardly thinking about it. The questions we ask can lead our mind to dispair, or it can lead us to constructive action, joy and hope.

Some days i struggle with my attitude, and some days with putting my efforts in a healthy direction. I think, for a while, i'm going to ask myself a few empowering questions in the morning, and use them as my guide. If i ask myself just three in the beginning of the day, i can ask more later in the day. Here are just a few possibilities:

How can i improve my health today?

How can i improve my financial situation today?

How can i improve my relationships today?

How can i further my purpose or career today?

How can i improve my self esteem today?

How can i improve my attitude today?

How do i know i am loved?

How do i know i am lucky?

What adds happiness to my life today?



One reason i come to this forum, besides the great companionship, smile is for accountability. It helps me progress when i say, "i am going to do this," or write down my thoughts for others to see like, "what am i looking forward to today?" For that, i have all of you to thank.

So i think for a while i will try to post a few questions i'm going to ask myself and i'll answer them and use them for directing my focus, and i'm inviting all of you who would like to ask questions of your own choosing for yourself, and answer them, to join in. smile

How can i improve my health today?

I'm going to drink 3 liters/quarts of water today. And i'm going to exercise on my gym for 15 minutes. I'm going to make myself healthy meals.

How can i improve my financial situation today?

I have a potential customer interested in hiring me to make something for them. Today i can do pricing and options, and communicate that to him.

What can i do to improve my relationships today?

I've been rather uncommunicative lately. I have a friend i should have called back by now. I will call today, and also call my father.

laugh Okay... now i've put in print what i'm going to do today.

Well.... i did okay on improving my health today... i exercised as i said i would, and i ate well, and i drank water. I didn't, however, write to that guy about the item he wants me to make and i also didn't call anyone. frown I hope i do better tomorrow.

How do I get rid of my fears?
Others do not have these fears.
Because they did not experience them.
I did.
So I have them.
How do I forget that I experienced something very bad for a long time?
How do I become like someone who did not undergo same?

a. What makes you so sure that you will experience the same thing again?

b. What is your strategy to make sure that you don't?

You have made this a fact of your life. Right/
you are as sure about it as you are sure that sun will rise in the morning.

You are sure that if you do certain things, you will get immense pain.

Right?

My brain, my logic, knows that it will not happen again. It was so complex, so many freaky ...and i mean freaky, "acts of God" types of events combined into an ironic mess of epic proportions. (It won't happen again. But then, it never should have happened the first time, either.)

But my body, and my heart... it fears. It's like a dumb animal, it doesn't reason. I go to do things and i literally tremble, and am often unable to force myself to go through with most of the actions i would like to be doing. And then the nightmares haunt when i try.

b. What is your strategy to make sure that you don't?

There can be no strategy for such things.

I think, CD... i may just have to accept the fear and try to do things anyway. It isn't often we can get rid of our fear and then do the thing we feared. Usually we do it, and by doing it we weaken the fear.

Yes. You are right.
If the fear cripples you you may not be able to do much.
What if instead of fearing the fear, we say-

Let me see. I am going to fight whatever comes bravely.
I will prove that I am bigger than the pain?

And use robbin's strategy for dulling the fear.

That is strategy.
