Grandfathers and great uncles can make a world of difference in the lives of children with special needs, whether they are supporting dads, or taking on some of the responsibilities of fathers who are away from home.
Sometimes we take for granted the outstanding men in our families who step in to our children's lives or who were there from the beginning.
If you have someone you would like to honor or acknowledge, the month of June seems appropriate, although they are great treasures every month of the year.
