I know that most of the malls around where I live no longer have the pet stores that sell animals (other than fish).

When I was much younger (19) we bought a persian kitten from a mall petstore - because he was just so cute! The poor thing had so much wrong with him, and wound up having to be put to sleep. After that we found out how inhumane all those pet-stores, and their suppliers relly are.

My parents adopted a female dog once that had been a puppy mill producer. Her insides had been destroyed by being made to produce litter after litter and she had obviously not received the right veterinary care. They had to have her put to sleep.

It's an appalling business, especially with so many wonderful animals in shelters who deserve homes. My DH makes noises every so often about getting a dog, but I am adamant that the dog will come from a shelter.

This is really bad to see this cute LIFE Created by God being treated such inhumanly.

I some times wonder, if making money has to be this bad.???
