Great article Leah! I'm so inspired to do this. I think I'll try lavender to start smile The weather is so dry right now, which is strange, as it's been raining. But my skin is dry, so I know something is up smile

Misting away....

Oh Deanna, definitely let me know how it works for you! I'm all excited about getting a garden started soon and before you know it, it'll be harvesting time and a chance to make some mists from the herbs themselves! That'll be fun too:).

Ooooh, that would be fun Leah! So, would you just stuff some lavender (or whatever) into the water?

Lavender is something I really really want to grow. Where I live we have a Lavender Festival every May or so. They sell lavender plants, oils, and even food with lavender in it! It's so yummy! I had this lavender tea that just sent my taste buds into heaven, it was so good.

I've been using a peppermint eucalyptus spritzer. It smells so good, and really helps my sinuses feel better.

I read somewhere on the forums lately that rose is good for dry hands. I still want to try that.

Thanks for the info on facial mists. Missience has a new one that's all organic so guess I'll try it. It's called Rose Monsoon Hydrating mist, which sounds nice.

Hey Deanna!

You'd make it just like making lavender tea - except I'd let it steep for about 8 hours in a glass jar with the cap on. Then you can dilute it (it will be REALLY strong:)) with water and put it in a spray bottle. I'd keep it refrigerated since there aren't any preservatives in it but other than that, it's just as easy as with essential oils - just more time consuming wink..

You know one of my favorite lavender foods is lavender ice cream. It's REALLY good and really easy to make - I'll have to post an article about it:). Thanks for that reminder, lol...

Green1, I would definitely try it - Rose is great for the skin, particularly dry skin. You could also easily make your own. Either way, let us know how you like it!

I've tried facial misting and it's wonderful, especially in the winter time when the air is drier. Here in N Texas, it's really humid in summer but dry in winter.
