I am not talking about regrets in this topic. Simply put, we all know that we've grown as people within our marriages or relationships and now know that there are some things we would have done differently if "we had known then what we know now!".

What would you do differently in the beginning of your relationship as far as fights, in-laws, money, children, jobs, etc.

Me? I would have tried to be more understanding of my husband's working late to get ahead in his career.

This may sound crazy and totally insignificant- but I need to learn how to keep a cleaner house.

My husband would do anything in the world for me. He stands by me no matter how deep my depression gets, he treats my kids from my previous marriage as his own (would have adopted them if their father were not in the picture), and basically takes care of all of us. His only fault is that he snores loudly and can be compulsive about cleaning... That's the only real argument we have. Silly, huh?

But having an organized house means a lot to him - it's the way he grew up. So this is where I feel I need to improve the most (and I have plenty of room to improve here, too!) blush

Oh, Michelle! He and my husband need to get together!

He is compulsive about cleaning. He is a great guy and would do anything for me, but he has to arrange things and vacuums every day ( we DO have cats), but I know I should do more!

I'm a very good cook, though-I hope that makes up a bit as "my cleaner" loves to eat!

LOL! Yes David never complains about my cooking. He's gained 20 lbs since we were married!

My husband has said that if he could do things differently he would go back and save more of the money he was making before we married. He has talked about how things would have been easier if he had made different work choices as well.

If I could do something differently, I think I too would change how I handled finances. I also would choose to be more supportive of his martial arts earlier on.
