Some food for thought!
We have 'theory and fact'; - 'opinion and knowledge', and no matter how similar they may be, an 'apple' is not an 'orange', even though they are both fruit that grow on trees, and happen to be round in shape.
There are some strange ideas in our world, like those who still believe the earth is flat (The Flat Earth Society) - those who believe that God lives on the planet Venus, and those who believe that we are all part of an Alien experiment!
In a similar vein, there are those who believe that Christians are responsible for all the world's woes; - that it was the Jews who started WW2; - that all Moslems are terrorists; -that the Nazi Holocaust was just anti-Nazi propaganda;-that the atrocities of the Japanese between 1931 and 1945 were either hugely exaggerated, or were Allied propaganda. And there are some who think that America was the greatest aggressor, and not Japan.
Some believe that all suffering is the same. Some believe that the rape victim is just as responsible as her attacker and that tiny children who are sexually abused are 'partly responsible' (they created their own reality) and their perpetrator is in as much pain as they are.
Some also think that apples are oranges!
Oh, and there are those people who change the subject when they can't answer the question.
Some have their opinions about WW2. I have my knowledge and experience.
I rest my case.
Ann.
