This week's article deals with editing out those pesky modifiers, beginning with Adjectives.

So, let's have some fun with this.

I'll start by providing a noun phrase containing two adjectives. The object of the game is to reduce the number of adjectives to one or even none if possible.

You can do this by just deleting one adjective and leaving one, OR by deleting both and selecting a single, better adjective, OR by changing the noun so that an adjective is no longer required to improve it.

Following your answer, provide us with a new noun phrase with two or more adjectives for the next round.

You will get 2 "points" for leaving us with just a noun, and 1 "point" for leaving one adjective. There are no prizes - this is just for fun. When we get tired of this game, I'll divide your points by the number of times you played, and we'll see who is the Adjective Killing King or Queen!
