I have a Hispanic friend and whenever I offer something, accommodations, to share dinner, etc, he refuses. Is this an Hispanic cultural issue? I thought I read somewhere that it is polite in Hispanic culture to refuse offers at first? Just trying to understand and know if I should insist.

That can be so many things. I don't think you can get a correct answer without a fuller description of what else is going on. It may not be a cultural issue but a personal thing as well.

I know, no help at all. Give us more details.

cool Of course the easiest way to find out is just to ask him," Hey, [color:#33CCFF]Ralph
, how come when I offer or invite you to things, you say no all the time?" See what he says.[/color]
