What's in Rochester? Do you mean for Beer Bars or Brewpubs? Or Breweries?

If you visit Boston, check out the Sunset Bar and Grille (lots of beer choices, it is overwhelming...) and The Publick House (1600 block, Beacon Street). My favorite of those is the Publick House. The Publick House has a great selection of Belgian Beers.

Also, there are some great Breweries throughout New England. We just went to a Brew Pub up in the white mountains, in Lincoln, New Hampshire... and there is a Brewery in Portsmouth, NH that has a restaurant (Portsmouth Brewery), and one in Nashua, NH (Martha's Exchange). You don't need to restrict yourself to Boston. I am sure there are lots of others. Of course there's Sam Adams in Boston.

I should also mention that Anchorage, Alaska is known for their beer. We had fun in their brew pubs when we were out there.

Yep! Anchorage is incredible! It is amazing how many complex and BIG beers are available - Belgian Style, Imperial Stouts, Double IPAs and Vintage Barley Wines. Many brewpubs keep "fine beer" cellars where beers age in bottles or in specially selected oak barrels.

In Anchorage, check out Humpy's Great Alaskan Alehouse, Moose's Tooth, Glacier Brewhouse, Orso, The Sleeping Lady, Sub Zero, Bear Tooth Theatrepub & Grill, Midnight Sun Brewing Company, The Fancy Moose Lounge in the Millennium Hotel - then take a trip down to Juneau to Alaskan Brewing Co and to Homer Brewing Company on the Kenai peninsula.
