Hi Wendy,

Thanks for the response.

I love your dog...boy, girl...what's the name?

I have a dog as well, a cocker spaniel named Teddy and two chinchillas, Fionnghuala and Gaston. I'm a bit of an animal freak.

That's my 4 mo old Aussie Cattle Dog, Buela Grace, we call her 'the Terrorist' or just Buela. There is also a chihuahua mix Corona, and a lab chow mix Max.

Hi Deanna,

Sorry for the delayed response, I've been in France for the past month.

My name is a Gaelic name that ironically means 'dream' or 'vision'. It's pronounced as if it were spelled 'ASHLING'.

Tell me more about your Angel Readings. I have a strong affinity with angels, so I'd love to hear about your readings and your association with angels.

blush Ugh! Talked about delayed responses LOL. Anyway... I've been enjoying your articles Aisling... especially the one on Gods and Goddesses. I remember having a dream many years ago of a god and goddess... she was in a coffin, and funeral procession was following her. But as the coffin passed, everything behind it burst into life... trees bore fruit, flowers bloomed. And the goddess' coffin was being carried toward the god, who was waiting for her. And I had to hide to watch this, because it was just SOOOOO very bright! It was beautiful dream, for sure, even if I was peeking out at it from behind a corner LOL.

How serendipitious is that, that your name happens to mean dream! Guess you are definately in the right place, ay? grin

Hi Aisling, welcome to Bella Online. This is a great topic and one that I will certainly enjoy reading. I don't remember my dreams for the most part anymore but do remember some I had as a child that still haunt me from time to time.

Again, welcome!

Deanna, don't worry about a late response. I've not been active recently. I was just diagnosed with lupus. It's not the horrible kind--it mostly affects my skin and it's in remission for the most part but I've been terribly fatigued the last few months.

I'm glad you've been enjoying the articles. I enjoyed your god/dess dream! That sounds like what Jung called a "Great Dream"--one of those profound dreams that we get every so often. It's especially interesting that it was so bright where you were and the flowers are also fascinating.

I have seen that bright light before when I sleep. I always wonder if it's like that light people see in near death experiences. I don't mean that in a spooky way, I mean it in a reassuring way. I mean, if that's what's waiting for us on the "other side" WOW--what a great place it must be.

What's really fascinating about your dream is that in mythology the theme is usually the dying-resurrected god. In your dream it's a goddess. What's also interesting is that in mythology the two lovers meet in a garden, which sounds like what was going on in your dream. Do you remember when you had that dream?

Hi Sheri,

Thanks for the welcome. How long have you been at the water gardens site? My parents have a koi pond and a goldfish pond and are members of the water garden club in their town. They absolutely love it. I've directed my mom to your site--she just can't get enough of other people interested in water gardens. I too, love them. They're so peaceful and inviting.

Were your childhood dreams something less than pleasant? If so, that may be why you aren't remembering them now. If you need any help with them send me an email and I'll see what I can do.

Hi Aisling,

I actually had that dream back in 2001 or 2002. I did write it in a dream journal, but they are all packed since I moved recently. But that is how intense it was... I can still remember it LOL. I could totally believe that it was a "great" dream. In fact, I think there were even forest creatures following the precession LOL.

So sorry to hear about the lupus. That can be a frustrating thing to work with. My kids' nutrition teacher is dealing with it... she's found nutrition has helped her so much, but I know that lupus is one of those crazy conditions that can manifest differently in just about every person.

Feel Good and Dream Well!!!

Hi Deanna,

I'm not that concerned about the lupus. I've had symptoms for over a decade and they aren't terribly bad. I'm actually a little relieved to know what is going on!

That dream sounds so great especially with the forest creatures!

I'm interested in your angel readings.

Hi Aisling... the angel readings are fun. I do readings because I have had a couple of very interesting angelic experiences. The first major one happened to take place in a dream LOL. Before I went to sleep I asked what angel was around me. I then dreamt that I was handed a business card with the word "Metatron" on it. When I flipped the card over, there was a picture of an angel.

The next day when I woke up I did a bit of research on the word Metatron, and found out it was an angel. This was before all the angel books and fun angel websites were out, so I had to do a bit of digging. When I found out I had dreamed of an angel with a "real" angel name that I knew nothing about, I was absoutely ecstatic!

So there was the start into my work angels... all because of a dream smile

Wow, Metatron gave you a business card. That is awesome. I guess you know Metatron is the Voice of God. I wonder if the dream had anything to do with finding your own voice or trusting your own intuition that comes from God.

Well, I definately think it was a sign of things to come LOL! At the time I had the dream, I didn't know anything about him... Now I'm always fascinated to find out more about him.

Hi Deanna,

What do you know about the angel Sariel? I have only been able to find a little info about him and I'd like to find more. He's one of the angels from the Book of Enoch but mostly what I find written about him is about him being equated with other angels like Peniel, or sometimes Raziel.

Hi Aisling,

The following information is pulled directly from the book "Angels A to Z" by James R. Lewis and Evelyn Dorothy Oliver. The happy faces and winkies are mine LOL.

It's mostly paraphrased - but all from the book wink

Sariel was one of the original seven archangels, and his name means "God's Command."

Some sources say he was a fallen angels, but most consider him a good angel wink He was an angel of death, and when Moses died on Mt. Sinai, Sariel brought his soul to Heaven. In fact, it seems he may have had a special connection to Moses as it is said that he inspired Moses toward knowledge.

Here's a cute little tidbit - it's said he instructed Rabbi Ishmael ben Elisha in the laws of hygiene.

His name appears in the Gnostic amulets (I didn't realize there were Gnostic amulets ---- this is very interesting!)

When he's invoked, he takes the form of an ox.

According to Cabala he is one of the seven angels that rule Earth.

He is associated with the skies, and is in charge of the Zodiac sign Aries. He instructs others on the course of the moon. He is one of the nine angels of the summer equinox and is effective as an amulet against the evil eye.

Ooooh... this is really interesting - Sariel also appears in the Dead Sea Scrolls as a name on the shields of the "third tower" AKA "The Sons of Light".

Wow! Sounds like a very interesting angel to get to know!

He's an angel of healing and a prince of the presence.

This is really interesting and strange information. Strange because everything I've learned about this angel is odd. I'm working on a novel and I needed an Enochian angel. I looked at the Book of Enoch and selected Sariel just because it was easy to pronounce. But then what little I learned about him turned out to be exactly like the character I was writing.

And later on I had selected an actual human person I was modelling the angel on and now you reveal he takes the form of an ox. The person I was fictionalizing into an angel is an ox in the Chinese zodiac. How odd!

How is the angels A-Z? I just ordered an angel book by someone named Gustav Davidson and I think it has a similar title. Do you have the Davidson book?

That's so cool Aisling smile Angels are always that way - they come in at the perfect time LOL.

I have heard good things about the Davidson book, but I've never looked at it before. Let me know how you like it, I may just have to order it too!

Greetings!

I'm new to the forum. This place looks interesting so I thought I'd put this dream out there to see what kind of feedback I'd get.

I woke up laughing the other morning because I dreamed that I had gone to the pet store to buy birds. Something I would never want (I don't think birds should ever be caged) but anyway ... I ask for tiny birds and the lady at the shop hands me a zip-lock bag full of tiny yellow birds and a black cat. I asked her if it was safe to carry the birds this way and she said, "Sure! Just don't leave them in there very long." So the cat, birds and me go home where I'm greeted by my two other cats, Joe and Emmett. I didn't think the new cat and Joe would get along so I locked the new cat in a bedroom and then took the bag of birds (bag now steamy) to the cage which already has birds (parrots, parakeets and the like). I couldn't put the new birds in with the old birds so I'm trying to grab the little birds out of the bag. Some are dead and some get away and the birds in the cage are escaping all the while Joe is trying to catch and eat the birds. So I yell at him to stop eating the birds and of course he just looks up at me and meows in his typical whiney fashion and continues. Then I woke up. Just giggling.

What the heck could all that mean? I think perhaps I just want to fly the coop myself. ha! Or I watched too much Sylvester and Tweety as a child. I've had a kick telling my friends about it.

Hi Selah 68,

So sorry for the late response. I hadn't noticed a new reply to the dreams editor intro post blush I hope my lack of reply doesn't deter you from posting!

Your dream is very interesting. I think probably the most interesting thing is what you said at the very beginning - that you would never buy a bird as a pet because you don't think birds should be caged. When interpreting dreams, the very first place to start is with your own associations. It sounds like you identify positively with birds, just not caged ones. Birds as a general dream symbol are often association with freedom and voice so it might very well be that your dream is symbolizing some feelings of being "caged" when you normally allow yourself to be free. It may also indicate that you are keeping quiet or not using your voice in some way. Voice means more than just talking - voice can refer to writing or singing or some other creative endeavour that might not be being utilized. And since cats can be symbols of intuition the dream might also indicate having intuition but not giving it a voice by trusting it.

I hope this helps some! And again, please forgive the delay in response. I truly hope you'll come back!
