I am a Buddhist. That means I follow truth. To expose Dalai Lama for what he has done to his followers is not anti Buddhist. There is one Dalai Lama but there are 100,000 Tibetans in India who have no future. Whose side should I take?

Kim, what Lordsaveme is saying is not accurate.
If the Tibetans are experiencing problems in India, it is because they are displaced from their country, and India gives them no rights as refugees. Their inability to progress in india is not down to the Dalai Lama, it is the problem of any displaced refugee, in any country.

I have been to see a family of adopted refugees in karnataka state. I have an adopted family there, through an organisation in Europe, called Solhymal.... I have, with their help, visited them twice now. so I have heard first hand, from the refugees themselves, what the problems are. And nobody - but nobody - there, blames the Dalai Lama or holds him responsible. He visits one a year, and they revere him.

Things, with regard to refugees, have improved 200% in the UK, but to begin with, when we had immigration and refugees seeking asylum in the UK, we had similar problems.
There are still occasional problems with asylum seekers in the UK, but they are different problems, and that's par for the course.

Please ask Dalai Lama to accept the reality and settle the dispute with the Chinese. Please allow the refugees to go back to Tibet. Do you not think that 50 years as refugees is a very long period? Because this man is so respected, no body seems to care about the Tibetans in India. How long will they stay away from Tibet? One hundred years more? What if you were in that situation?

China ran the Tibetans out of their home country. People in certain parts of India let them go there in their exile. It is not his fault they are out of Tibet and cannot go home. China wanted their land. Read some more history of what has happened to the people of Tibet. It is sickening.

Yes. It is sickening. But that agony must be brought to an end now.
Do you agree? China does not want Dalai Lama. Let him stay wherever he desires and let others go back. Bring an end.

JeanetteNorman,

Imagine yourself in exile for fifty long years. Would you not wish to return to your homeland? Who should help you do that?

Dalai Lama is busy with the west. If he really wants to bless his followers, he should ask them to return and live in peace with China.

I know about the situation. When I ask Lordsaveme for some solutions, I am hoping he can focus on positive action for the frustration that his beliefs give him. Maybe his strong feelings about it will make him a crusader for all displaced people someday.

Lordsaveme seems distressed by what he thinks so why not get him to focus on finding a solution instead of encouraging him to argue about it? Though if he is just interested in ruffling feathers, he will continue to argue and that's his business.

Yes I do agree it has to end. The fighting and arguing has been going on too long but I don't think they should settle for anything they aren't comfortable with. Now I haven't read anything recently about what has been going on. Why can't they just go back of their own free will. I can't foresee him saying something like "If you go back to the homeland, you are no longer Buddhist" or whatever. What is holding them back? Has he made a public statement of this? This isn't meant as an attack, I am just curious.

No, he is not asking them to stay here. They have free will. You have to understand the psyche of the Tibetans. They treat Dalai Lama as God and will not return unless he commands. But he does not do that. For all these years he is waiting for China to offer concessions. He will never get them. He should allow his followers to return to Tibet and go and settle wherever he wants except Tibet. How long will Tibetans live in India as refugees? Those who do not agree to this should imagine leaving their home and live in another country as refugees for fifty years.

Indian Govt. will not force them to leave. It is for Dalai Lama.
As a person he is good, but what he is doing for his followers is not good. These poor people treat him as God and follow whatever he says.
