Probably, most of us have been offered help in this manner. We've just learned to call it a 'coincidence'.
We sleep with our windows open during the summer...no AC. Screens, of course, but the teensy little 'no-seeum's' get through the screens and so we put a citronella candle on the window sill. I was sleeping with my back to the window. Its very quiet out here at night...'cept for the peepers, and night time critters. I don't know what woke me up. But even more interestingly, I woke up and hiked up on my elbow and looked at the window just an instant before the melted candle wax caught fire. There was literally a ball of flame that poofed up out of the candle holder. It turned out ok, I jumped up and pulled the curtains out of the way and David put the fire out. I'm absolutely certain somebody warned me about what was about to happen.
