I was wondering about the extent to which romance films affect our lives. Has anyone personally found that their views on romance/ relationships have been influenced by the romantic movies?

I know that I myself am still waiting for the 'perfect' relationship where love conquers all. Despite logic and reality telling me different I would never settle for anything other than head over heels love.

Does anyone else feel the same? Or did they once feel that way and looking back can see where these thoughts have had an impact on their lives?

Even if you know that its unrealistic, do romance films still subconciously have an influence on your attitude to love? In what way?

Please tell me I am not alone in feeling this way!

I know when I go to a romantic movie with someone we always end up more snuggly afterwards, it definitely affects your mood.

Actually I find from my romance site that most romances *do* start out head over heels and then they settle down into the more long term love that sustains. The head over heels hormone-rush stage is built into us as humans. So it's a lot of fun while it lasts, but it's important to realize it's a stage smile
