I'm not sure how you could do an online cooking contest, since you can't taste what they made - do you mean a recipe contest, where people design recipes and then they're tested? That could be interesting, although with so many billions of recipes on the web it'd be hard to show that the person really did create that recipe vs just finding it somewhere ...
