Thanks for the article link! It's really too bad to see the way some people feed their children when these children are forming their food habits for life. French fries are NOT veggies! If you need to, put veggies in a blender and puree them then add to spagetti sauce or soup so they are "hidden" Eating more fruits and veggies can help people avoid all sorts of illness and disease, not to mention obesity.

when I go to the grocery store, I look at what other people are buying too. You're right, people with kids or who are obese are many times buying sugar filled foods, chips, soda and no fruits and veggies.

One problem with that too is their health problems will become everyone's when they have no insurance to treat their illness and diseases or the insurance rates go up because so many are sick with things that could have been prevented.

One of my missions in life is to try and get people to see that bad health is a lifestyle choice! Maybe over time people will come to see that they have control over their health and how they age.

Have you seen the commercial where a couple is ordering at a drive thru and they ask for the order of double chin and thunder thighs. I thought that was a good one

This is like smokers. They know it is dangerous, but they smoke nonetheless.

I give my kids the "daily power punch for kids" that are from Arbonne. They are a dietary suppliment that I can just add to their water (I also like to make ice pops from it)! My kids love it, and I explain to them the value of the vitamins and also of the "Profood Blend" which contains blueberries, carrot powder, broccoli powder, tomato powder, cabbage powder, spinach powder, parsley powder, boysenberries, rasberries, cranberries, apple, pumpkin, pomegranate and elderberries. It not as good as the real thing, but I feel better when they have at least that. Especially on the days that they are only willing to eat mac n cheese...yucK! I appreciate that it has the antioxidants but also that they will drink it!
I get mine from this website

I know what you mean. I did a paper on children and obesity/unhealthy eating. The parents are the adults whom buy such unhealthy foods for their children.
