Hi Ya'll,
Sorry I haven't been around as of late, life can deal out some nasty lashes at times. Good news, though, at least on the bird front... My little baby cordons are officially sporting the fashionable "pink" beak and are smoothed out as adults. I do not yet know if they are boy/girl as they have not had their first molt. They both, however, sing... ALOT... MUCH SINGING!... Yes - these kids have figured out that they can sing and fly at the same time and apparently require very little oxygen intake during such exercises. I think its hilarious. The societies look rather confused. The bio parents answer, however, so they must recognize the sound. I temporarily mixed the babies and adult cordons during a cage switch with no problems exhibited in behavior. I was actually moving the adult pair to the smaller breeding cage since they need the most privacy at this point. Anywayz - ya'll can check out new pix on the webpage. Hope all's well!
