I've written quite a few articles re: travel with pets and I think that more and more hotels, motels, lodges, B&B's, cabins, etc are allowing dogs. Check out Fido Friendly magazine for articles relating to travel with dogs, or go online and search "pet-friendly" -- there are a growing number of websites dedicated to this niche market!
